The trip across the lake was great.  We set off about 9am in the thick fog and met outside of the opening of the harbor.  We then sail across the lake in the thickest fog we ever sailed in.  We had to stay within a 100 feet of each other or we would loose sight of our boats.  It was about 10mph winds we did not clear the fog until about 3:00 pm.  We then tried to sail in but the wind changed and we had to tack in.  It was slow because the wind died to nothing and then we motored to shore.  We docked at Landry’s Sea Food and rested.  We ate there and watched TV afterwards on the boat.  We then crossed the canal and docked at a nice powered wharf .  We just could not plug in.  All connections were 50amp 220 connections.  So if you take a trip and want to connect, that is what you will need.

The next day had more fog.  We sailed across in about 5 hours.  The fog did not clear until 3 miles from shore.
